REGISTRATION DESK
The registration desk is located on the Conference Floor Foyer. Any enquiries regarding your participation in the meeting can be directed to the ASN staff onsite.
The registration desk opening hours are as follows:
Monday 18th November: 7:00am - 5:00pm
Tuesday 19th November: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Wednesday 20th November: 8:30am - 5:00pm
Thursday 21st November: 8:30am - 4:00pm
NAME TAGS
Delegates are required to wear their name tags to all sessions, including during catering breaks and all Social Functions.
MOBILE PHONES
Please ensure your mobile devices are switched to silent during any session you attend.
SPEAKER PREPERATION
If your presentation is in the Arena, please upload your talk with the tech in the room, on arrival at the conference or a minimum of 2 breaks prior to your session starting. If you are in one of the other rooms, please bring your presentation the day prior to the room where there will be a floating AV tech to assist uploading your presentation. The Arena has a dedicated tech for sessions in this room, the other rooms have a tech to assist across multiple rooms, this is why it is important to be prepared and upload early. If you are not attending on the day prior, please send your presentation via email at least one day before your presentation to lianna-danielle.r@asnevents.net.au
You should bring your talk on a USB, saved in an appropriate format (i.e. PowerPoint 16:9) for display on a PC and projector within the room and clearly labelled with the Time_Session_Name (eg. 9:30_Session 2_Lianna-Danielle Rizk). Please note there are no Mac computers in the presentation room.
SESSION CHAIRS BRIEFING & STUDENT AWARD JUDGES
ALL session chairs & student award judges are to meet in The Arena at 10:30 (Morning Tea) on Monday 18th of November for a chair briefing. It is important for all chairs throughout the conference attend.
POSTER VIEWING
The poster session is held on Tuesday 19th November in the exhibition area from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. Tickets to attend must be selected in your registration. All posters have received a poster number which can also be found in the conference app. You are required to stand by your poster for the duration of the session to answer questions from the audience. Posters can be displayed from Monday morning tea and must be taken down by afternoon tea on Thursday 21st November. Any posters not collected at this time will be disposed of.

PHOTO COMPETITION – STUDENT MIXER
We invite all students to submit your favourite fish and fieldwork photos to our team for a projector display at the event. Photos can include action shots, field location, fish species, and teamwork photos - feel free to be creative! Please submit your photos by the 17th Nov ahead of the event. Prizes will be awarded for best aerial photo, macro is mighty, slimy but satisfying, funniest photo, candid cam, best looking team.
FISH TAGGING WORKSHOP
The fish tagging workshop will be held at the Newcastle Exhibition & Convention Centre (NEX) on Sunday 17th in The King Street Room from 10:30am – 4:45pm. Please arrive at 10:30am for registration. If you would like to attend, please select add this to your registration via the portal.
CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
On conclusion of the Conference your certificate of attendance will be emailed to you. This can also be downloaded from your registration profile.
Simply login by entering your email and password, scroll down to the button and select “Certificate of attendance”.
