Dr Asia Haines completed her PhD through the University of Queensland on the spatial ecology of manta rays, with a focus on their movements, habitat use and connectivity. She has been with the research group Project Manta for the past decade, conducting research, maintaining long-term datasets and managing the projects citizen science outreach and community engagement. Asia has a particular interest in conserving threatened species and the ecosystems they rely on.
